The work must have meaning.

I’m JESS, wanna learn a few things about me?

Choosing a career as a family photographer developed from my own desire to give my children the visual memories of our life together.

But it actually started wayyy back when I studied Advertising Photography at RIT over 20 years ago. I’d dipped into many genres over the ages, including commercial work with brands such as Dove Baby, Easy Spirit, Discover, Neiman Marcus, 23&Me, Pharma companies, and Family Fun Magazine.

Then I started more documentary work in countries such as Zambia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Honduras, and Haiti for non-profit organizations. We created photo stories of how they partner with local communities to help them have access to clean water and better education.

Through all of that, I have spent countless hours photographing lifestyle and families.
No matter the genre, it always came back to the story of family.

My family sessions are styled and directed to help set a scene to naturally unfold and show your connection to one another. I exclusively work with natural light, seeing the heart + soul within all types of families.

As a divorced mother of two children, I like to hold space and honor the non-traditional families too.

I believe there is beauty that lies in the scars & stretches we acquire throughout this journey of parenthood.

I’d like to show off who you are becoming. You deserve to be in the photo too.

Interested? I love a good heart-to-heart on the phone. I’m here for you every step of the way and look forward to our journey together.

Rhyme my last name with ‘sailor’ and you’ll pronounce it correctly.

We aren’t meant to go it alone.

It’s my hope to become a long-term part of your family's journey and document your growth.
